Canvas of the Soul

Experience a unique and transformative journey that seamlessly blends the calming practice of yoga with the creative expression of painting. This holistic approach to wellness, designed to help you find inner peace, balance, and self-expression, will leave you feeling rejuvenated and inspired. Begin your experience with a gentle yoga flow led by Heather, focusing on breathwork, relaxation, and gentle stretches to release tension and promote mindfulness. This serene foundation prepares you for the creative exploration to follow.

Transition from movement to creativity as you delve into a painting session that encourages you to express your emotions and experiences through art. No prior painting experience is necessary, as the emphasis is on self-expression and letting your creativity flow. Heather will guide you through various techniques, helping you translate your inner feelings onto the canvas and fostering a sense of accomplishment and artistic fulfillment. This workshop is open to everyone, regardless of prior yoga or painting experience, and is designed for individuals seeking a holistic approach to wellness and self-discovery.

Discover the synergy between yoga and painting in this enriching experience, creating a space for self-discovery, relaxation, and artistic exploration. You'll leave with a unique painting as a reminder of the inner balance and harmony you achieved. Perfect for a date night or a time out with friends, this workshop rejuvenates your mind, body, and spirit.

About La Force

La Force (b. 1983) is a distinguished multimedia artist specializing in painting and collage. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the State University of New York College at Potsdam in 2007, followed by a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in conjunction with Tufts University in 2012.

In her paintings, La Force employs oil on panel to craft intimately detailed portraits that transcend traditional flattery. Instead, her work confronts and challenges the idealized self-perceptions of her subjects, unveiling aspects of beauty that are often overlooked or under-appreciated.

Contrasting with her meticulous paintings, her collages are driven by humor and spontaneity, embodying playful and intuitive exploration of her artistic impulses. This dichotomy between the disciplined precision of her painting and the liberating unpredictability of her collage work creates a harmonious balance within her broader creative practice.

La Force continues to live and work in Massachusetts.
